Company Description Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) is a leading technological university in Bangladesh, renowned for its engineering and science education. Originating as Khulna Engineering College in 1974 and later becoming Bangladesh Institute of Technology (BIT) Khulna in 1986, KUET has grown into an autonomous institution focused on advanced teaching and research. Role Description The Writer role at KUET is a full-time, on-site position based in Dhaka. The Writer will develop, draft, and edit a variety of academic and institutional materials, including reports, articles, web content, and outreach communications that reflect KUET’s research, programs, and achievements. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with faculty and administrative staff to gather information, ensuring clarity and accuracy of technical content, and adapting complex engineering and technology topics for diverse audiences. The role also involves maintaining consistent language and style across publications, supporting grant and research proposal writing, and meeting deadlines for internal and external communications. The Writer is expected to contribute to enhancing KUET’s public profile by producing high-quality written materials aligned with the university’s mission and values.
Qualifications

• Strong skills in academic and professional writing, with the ability to present complex engineering and technology concepts in clear, accessible language.
• Proficiency in editing and proofreading, with attention to detail, grammar, and consistency of style.
• Experience in content development for institutional communications, such as reports, articles, web pages, and outreach materials.
• Ability to conduct structured research, synthesize information from multiple sources, and accurately represent technical and scholarly work.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English; familiarity with Bangladeshi higher education or research environments is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field; a background in engineering or science communication is beneficial.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a collaborative academic setting.
• Comfort working on-site in Dhaka, engaging constructively with diverse faculty, staff, and learners in a non-discriminatory and inclusive manner.
