Job Description
Job Responsibility
- Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Labor Law / EPZ Law regarding worker welfare.
- Handle worker grievances, complaints, and welfare-related concerns.
- Manage LTO and absenteeism and properly monitor relevant KPIs.
- Develop and implement effective grievance-handling procedures for timely resolution.
- Maintain grievance registers and prepare reports for management review.
- Conduct counseling sessions for workers facing personal or workplace issues.
- Plan and execute worker engagement activities.
- Organize events, motivational sessions, and recreational programs.
- Coordinate with HR on employee well-being and stress-management initiatives.
- Assist in compliance audits and prepare necessary documentation.
- Coordinate with Worker Participation Committee, WWA, and other worker committees.
- Conduct training and awareness programs.
- Support and coordinate disciplinary actions.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee matters.
Requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; preference will be given to candidates with a background in Social Science, Social Work, HR, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the garment industry.
- Good knowledge of Bangladesh Labor Law, EPZ regulations, worker welfare, and social compliance.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, counseling, and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to handle worker grievances, complaints, LTO, and absenteeism professionally.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with HR, management, Worker Participation Committee, WWA, and other worker committees.
- Ability to conduct training, awareness programs, counseling sessions, and employee engagement activities.
- Ability to maintain confidential employee and grievance-related information.
