About the Role

Babel Audio is seeking professional Bengali-speaking voice actors (Bangladesh / Dhaka Bengali) for a solo performance project. Your performances will be used to train AI systems to better understand and express human emotion. This is interpretive, character-driven work that requires genuine craft, and we have structured this engagement to reflect that.

You will receive a script and scene brief, study the emotional context, and deliver a performance that is true to the character and moment. The scenes are specific and emotionally rich. You might perform as:

• A bride, bidding farewell to her family on her wedding day, overwhelmed with emotion
• A father, holding his newborn child for the first time, overcome with emotion
• A shepherd, spotting a wolf in the distance, becoming alert to protect his herd
• A doctor, with a heavy heart, delivering the news of a patient's passing to their family
• A runner, after years of training, nearing the finish line and filled with emotion

Recordings are under one minute. You select which scripts to take on, and you work entirely on your own schedule.

Who You Are

• Native-level fluency in Bengali (Bangladesh / Dhaka)
• Professional background in voice acting, dubbing, narration, audiobook recording, or similar
• Able to deliver expressive and engaging vocal performances across a variety of styles and emotions
• Comfortable interpreting a scene brief and working independently with minimal direction

Compensation

• $60-$150 USD per recorded hour, depending on your country
• Additional performance-based incentives may be available

Technical Requirements

• Clear and consistent voice quality
• External microphone: USB preferred (or XLR; but no built-in, wireless/HF, or Bluetooth microphones)
• Recording setup: Computer required (no mobile devices or smartphones)
• Environment: Quiet, no background noise, acoustically treated, or soundproof space (no noticeable echo)
• Internet connection: Stable connection for high-quality recording
• Pop filter or foam windscreen: Strongly recommended
