Role Description The Video Editor role at Hafezzi Charitable Society of Bangladesh is a full-time, on-site position based in Mohammadpur Thana. The Video Editor will be responsible for assembling recorded raw material into finished videos that clearly communicate the organization’s mission, projects, and impact. Day-to-day tasks include editing footage, adding titles, graphics, music, and sound effects, and ensuring consistency with branding and messaging guidelines. The role involves collaborating with program staff to plan video content, optimizing videos for various platforms, and maintaining an organized archive of media files. The Video Editor will also assist in shooting basic video content when needed and contribute creative ideas to improve storytelling and audience engagement.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar) and basic audio editing tools.
• Strong visual storytelling skills, including sense of pacing, composition, and narrative structure.
• Ability to work on-site full time in Mohammadpur Thana and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Basic skills in motion graphics and visual effects using tools such as After Effects or equivalent are an advantage.
• Experience optimizing video content for social media and online platforms (e.g., YouTube, Facebook, Instagram).
• Attention to detail, including color correction, sound balancing, and adherence to brand guidelines.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in Bangla and/or English, and the ability to interpret project briefs accurately.
• Prior experience creating videos for nonprofit, community, or social impact organizations is a plus.
• Relevant education or training in film, media, communications, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
