Video Editor

We are looking for a creative and skilled Video Editor to produce engaging news and digital video content for our online news platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit news reports, interviews, features, breaking-news videos, and social media content.
• Create Reels/Shorts/TikTok and platform-specific videos for Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram.
• Add captions, graphics, transitions, music, voiceovers, and motion graphics.
• Maintain video quality, accuracy, branding, and storytelling standards.
• Work closely with reporters and the digital media team to meet tight deadlines.
• Create thumbnails and perform basic color correction and audio editing.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of relevant video editing experience, preferably in news/digital media.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.
• Strong understanding of video storytelling, composition, timing, sound, and social media formats.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle breaking-news content.
• Creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of current affairs/news content is an advantage.
