Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Video Editor role based in Dhaka. The Video Editor will be responsible for assembling raw footage into polished, engaging video content for news, podcasts, interviews, and infotainment pieces. Daily tasks include reviewing and organizing clips, editing video sequences, adding sound and graphics, and collaborating with producers and content creators to align visuals with editorial goals. The role also involves color grading, applying motion graphics, and optimizing videos for different digital platforms while maintaining Alap’s visual style and quality standards. The Video Editor will work closely with the creative and production teams to meet deadlines and deliver consistent, high-impact content.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Video Production and Video Editing.
• Candidates should possess skills in Video Color Grading to ensure visual consistency and quality.
• Candidates should possess skills in Motion Graphics and Graphics for creating titles, lower thirds, and visual elements.
• Proficiency in industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects) is preferred.
• Strong storytelling sense, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to take feedback and iterate on content.
• Relevant experience in digital media, broadcasting, or content creation; a portfolio or showreel demonstrating past work is highly beneficial.
• Formal education in Film, Media, Communications, or a related field is an advantage but not mandatory.
