About the channel

I run a growing POV / ASMR food channel on YouTube. Every video is built around one thing: footage of me eating, filmed up close, with the sound doing most of the work. The channel publishes both long-form videos (5 to 10 minutes) and Shorts cut from the same sessions, and I'm looking for an editor to take ownership of both.

What you'll do

• Edit raw eating footage into finished long-form videos: pacing, cuts, colour correction, audio cleanup and sound design that keeps the ASMR quality intact
• Cut 3 to 6 Shorts per long-form session, each with a strong hook in the first two seconds, reframed to 9:16 with captions where they help
• Design or refine thumbnails and on-screen text
• Manage audio carefully: noise reduction, normalisation and mixing without killing the crunch, sizzle and crackle that the audience is there for
• Keep a consistent visual style across the channel and suggest improvements based on what's performing
• Turn around edits on an agreed weekly schedule and handle one round of revisions per video

What I'm looking for

• 2+ years editing for YouTube, TikTok or Instagram Reels, ideally with food, ASMR or creator content in your portfolio
• Fluent in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve; After Effects is a plus
• Strong ear for audio; you know what a good ASMR mix sounds like and how to protect it
• Understanding of YouTube retention, Shorts hooks and what makes people keep watching
• Reliable, organised and comfortable working asynchronously with clear deadlines
• Bonus: experience with CapCut for quick Shorts turnarounds, or basic motion graphics

How it works

Freelance to start, paid per video or per batch, with a view to a longer-term arrangement as the channel grows. Fully remote, so you can be based anywhere. Footage is delivered via Google Drive with a brief for each session.
