Context
We are looking for an experienced Quality Finishing Manager with strong expertise in activewear garments to oversee finishing quality, final inspection, packing, and shipment readiness. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with performance fabrics, technical garments, and activewear construction, with a strong understanding of buyer quality standards and AQL requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage overall finishing and final quality operations for activewear products.
- Ensure garments meet approved sample, specification, measurement, workmanship, and quality standards.
- Supervise finishing, pressing, folding, tagging, packing, and final inspection activities.
- Conduct and monitor final inspections according to AQL and buyer requirements.
- Ensure proper handling of garments to prevent fabric damage, contamination, oil marks, stains, and pressing marks.
- Coordinate with Production, QA/QC, Merchandising, and technical teams to resolve quality issues.
- Analyze recurring defects and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Monitor quality performance through defect reports, inspection results, and quality KPIs.
- Train and develop finishing and quality teams on activewear-specific quality requirements.
- Ensure compliance with buyer manuals, approved standards, and shipment requirements.
- Support buyer inspections and resolve quality concerns before shipment.
- Maintain proper quality records, inspection reports, and corrective-action documentation.
- Experience: 8 years
- Education: diploma in textile engineering
- Skills: garment finishing, technical knowledge of garment production, garment manufacturing, fabric finishing, garment industry knowledge, fabric sourcing, garment production, textile inspection, apparel sourcing, knit garment manufacturing
