The bank is seeking a qualified and purpose-driven professional for the following position within its Technology function:

Job Grade: AVP

The role Unit Head, Systems Support is responsible to manage and secure the bank's end-user computing environment by enforcing patch, antivirus, and configuration standards, while leading the Systems Support team to ensure operational efficiency and continuous compliance with the bank's ICT security policy and applicable regulatory guidelines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure end-user computing services across the Bank in adherence to IT service management practices and a customer relationship-based approach.
• Maintain compliance with the bank’s information security controls, ensure monthly vulnerability mitigation in accordance with the OLA, and prepare relevant reports for end-user computing.
• Manage software licensing and obsolescence, and ensure the periodic review of whitelisted software and its usage.
• Deliver initiatives through proper change-management processes.
• Enforce patch management — timely deployment (Tech Debt) of OS and application security patches on end-user machines.
• Maintain an updated inventory of all end-user devices, including desktops, laptops, tablets, printers and scanners.
• Coordinate asset disposal in accordance with the bank’s policy.
• Conduct or support periodic user-awareness training on safe computing practices.
• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to remediate audit findings related to end-user computing controls.
• Periodically benchmark end-user computing controls against evolving regulatory expectations, including updates to ICT security guidelines, and update SOPs accordingly.
• Manage the end-user computing team by fostering a performance-based culture, ensuring the availability of backup and fallback resources, and providing cross-training to avoid single-person dependency.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or an equivalent discipline from a reputed university, with a good academic record.
• Ten to twelve years of experience in a relevant field, including demonstrated leadership capability.
• Strong knowledge of IT end-user computing and IT service management.
• A strong customer-centric mindset and a proactive, forward-looking approach, with a track record of driving initiatives and deliverables through effective cross-functional working relationships.
• Understanding of the regulatory and security guidelines, Cloud Security Guidelines and Cyber Security Framework issued by Bangladesh Bank.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and delivery-management capabilities.
