UI/UX Designer

Transfotech Academy, a concern of Shera International Group, is a global EdTech startup delivering outcome-driven bootcamps for career transformation. With 13+ years of international experience and offices in New York, Los Angeles, and Dhaka, we're scaling fast—and we need a designer who can keep pace.

The Role

You'll own the design of two connected products: our public website and the internal CRM our staff uses every day. You'll build the design system that holds them together, working directly with our engineering team from day one—with your wireframes running ahead of development, not catching up to it.

This is a product design role, not marketing design. You'll shape how our platform looks, feels, and behaves.

What You'll Do

Website Design

• Own information architecture, page layouts, navigation, and enrolment flows
• Design for mobile and desktop, guiding visitors clearly toward taking action

Internal CRM Design

• Design the daily interface staff use to manage leads, enrolments, and student records
• Build data-heavy screens: dashboards, tables, filters, multi-step forms
• Remove clicks and confusion from staff workflows

Design System Ownership

• Build and maintain reusable components: colours, typography, spacing, buttons, forms
• Keep the website and CRM visually consistent and cost-efficient to maintain

Process & Delivery

• Gather requirements from management and CRM end users, turn them into practical interfaces
• Produce wireframes and low-fidelity layouts before visual design
• Design high-fidelity screens in Figma and create clickable prototypes for review
• Design every interface state: empty, loading, error, validation, unusual data
• Prepare complete developer handoff: spacing, sizing, colour values, typography, responsive behaviour
• Review implemented screens against design and flag discrepancies
• Ensure designs meet basic accessibility standards
• Iterate based on staff feedback once live

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of professional UI/UX design experience
• At least one shipped product with a data-heavy or admin-style interface
• Professional Figma skills: components, variants, auto layout, shared libraries
• Proven UX process: requirements → wireframes → prototypes → final screens
• Experience designing dashboards, admin panels, CRMs, or similar internal tools
• Component library and design token experience
• Mobile-first, responsive design thinking across desktop, tablet, phone
• WCAG accessibility basics: color contrast, font sizing, focus states, touch target sizing
• Developer-ready specifications and direct collaboration with engineers

Preferred

• Design experience in EdTech, training, or e-learning sector
• User research methods: interviews, usability testing, staff shadowing
• Basic HTML and CSS understanding (enough to judge what's realistic to implement)
• Experience designing both a public site and internal tool within the same organization
• Familiarity with analytics tools, using behavior data to justify design changes
• Ability to produce simple icons or illustrative elements

Your Portfolio Must Show

• At least one full case study: the problem, your thinking, iterations, and outcome
• At least one data-heavy or internal tool interface (dashboard, admin panel, or CRM)
• At least one responsive website
• A Figma file we can open, or a description of how you structure and name design files

What We're Looking For

• You explain and defend design decisions with reasoning rather than personal taste
• You can interview non-technical staff about how they actually work
• You take critique professionally and iterate without becoming defensive
• You communicate clearly with engineers and understand that some designs are expensive to build
• You're organized in file structure and naming, so your design files stay usable
• You're comfortable working on unglamorous internal tools, not only visually impressive pages
