Mission Of The Position
The Trainer- Financial Literacy is responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial management of the Partnership Projects by ensuring accurate financial recording, timely processing of payments, budget monitoring, and compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements. The position assists in maintaining proper financial documentation, preparing financial reports, supporting audits, and ensuring that project resources are managed efficiently, transparently, and in accordance with applicable financial procedures.
Working closely with the Finance Department, implementing partner, and project staff, the Trainer- Financial Literacy will contribute to effective financial planning, budget control, cash management, procurement-related financial processes, and financial reporting to support the successful implementation of project activities.
Key Performance Areas And Main Responsibilities
Financial Management
- Support the day-to-day financial operations of the project in accordance with organizational policies and donor regulations.
- Prepare payment vouchers, journal vouchers, receipt vouchers, and maintain supporting documentation.
- Verify bills, invoices, payment requests, and supporting documents before processing payments.
- Ensure all financial transactions are properly coded and recorded in the financial system.
- Maintain accurate cash books, bank books, and financial registers.
- Assist in maintaining petty cash and ensure proper reconciliation.
Requirements
- Experience: 2-3 years
