Context
We are looking for a motivated and analytical Management Trainee Officer – Costing to join our Accounts & Finance team. The position is suitable for fresh graduates who are interested in costing, cost analysis, management accounting and financial data analysis within the garments/manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and analyzing product costing, pre-costing and post-costing for garments/products.
- Collect, verify and analyze cost-related data including fabric, trims, CM, washing, printing, embroidery, accessories, factory overhead and other direct/indirect costs.
- Coordinate with Merchandising, Production, IE, Commercial, Procurement and Accounts & Finance teams to collect accurate costing information.
- Maintain and regularly update costing databases, reports and records.
- Assist in preparing management reports and presentations related to costing, budgeting and business performance.
- Maintain records of garment raw materials and other production-related costs in the database.
- Support cost analysis, variance analysis and other financial/analytical assignments.
- Perform any other costing and analytical responsibilities assigned by management.
- Experience: At most 1 year
- Education: bachelor of business administration in accounting
- Skills: garment costing, garment manufacturing, technical knowledge of garment production, garment industry knowledge, costing analysis, costing and budgeting, costing, garment production, target costing, cost accounting
