Role Description The Textile Testing Lab and Washing R&D Expert will oversee daily laboratory testing of fabrics and garments to ensure they meet internal and buyer-specific standards. This full-time, on-site role in Bangladesh involves planning and executing washing experiments, analyzing test results, and recommending process improvements for wash effects, shrinkage, colorfastness, and fabric performance. The role includes preparing test reports, maintaining testing equipment, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality protocols. The expert will collaborate with production, merchandising, and quality teams to troubleshoot issues, support new product development, and optimize washing recipes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The position also requires staying updated on industry standards, buyer requirements, and sustainable washing technologies.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of textile testing methods, standards, and lab equipment operation.
• Experience in garment and fabric washing R&D, including recipe development and process optimization.
• Ability to analyze test data, prepare technical reports, and interpret results for practical application.
• Familiarity with quality control procedures, buyer compliance requirements, and industry certifications.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Textile Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
• Experience in an apparel or textile manufacturing environment in Bangladesh is an advantage.
