Terminal Trailer Driver

Role Description The Terminal Trailer Driver is a full-time, on-site role based in Feni Sadar Upazila. The driver is responsible for safely operating terminal trailers and trucks within port and yard areas, moving containers and cargo between designated locations. Daily tasks include inspecting vehicles before and after use, following load and unload instructions, and complying with all safety, traffic, and port regulations. The role involves coordinating with dispatchers and terminal staff, maintaining accurate movement logs, and reporting any mechanical issues or delays. The driver may also support basic cargo checks and assist with customer-related inquiries as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong truck driving skills, including safe operation of terminal trailers and heavy vehicles.
• Valid CDL Class A (or equivalent heavy vehicle license) and clean driving record.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with dispatch, port staff, and supervisors.
• Customer service mindset for professional interactions with clients and terminal stakeholders.
• Knowledge of basic vehicle checks and maintenance, including troubleshooting minor issues.
• Commitment to safety protocols, awareness of port/terminal procedures, and adherence to regulations.
• Ability to work in outdoor, fast-paced environments and handle shift-based or extended hours when required.
• Previous experience in port, logistics, or freight transport operations is an advantage.
