Role Description

The Sweater Chart Maker (Designer) is a full-time, on-site role based in Gazipur.

This position is responsible for creating detailed sweater size charts, measurement specifications, and design layouts for knitwear products. Day-to-day tasks include translating design concepts and buyer requirements into accurate technical charts, ensuring consistency across styles, and collaborating with design, merchandising, and production teams to support sampling and bulk production.

The role involves reviewing samples against charts, updating measurements as needed, and preparing clear documentation for factory use. The Sweater Chart Maker (Designer) also supports continuous improvement by identifying ways to enhance chart accuracy, reduce errors, and improve communication between departments.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in sweater measurement chart creation, technical specification drafting, and basic fashion design understanding.
• Proficiency in using design and documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, design software, or CAD tools relevant to knitwear).
• Ability to interpret buyer tech packs and convert them into clear, accurate charts and measurement guidelines.
• Attention to detail, strong numerical accuracy, and the ability to identify and correct inconsistencies in charts.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with design, merchandising, and production teams.
• Good organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple styles and deadlines.
• Previous experience in sweater or knitwear chart making, garment technical design, or related roles is an advantage.
• Relevant education in fashion design, textile engineering, garment technology, or a similar field is preferred.
