Supply Chain Head

Role Description The Supply Chain Head is a full-time, on-site role based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, responsible for overseeing end-to-end supply chain operations. This role includes managing procurement, inventory, warehousing, logistics, and distribution to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. The Supply Chain Head will develop and implement supply chain strategies, monitor performance metrics, and drive process improvements across all functions. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders, negotiating contracts, managing risk, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The role also involves leading and mentoring the supply chain team, optimizing systems and workflows, and supporting executive leadership with data-driven insights and reports.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in supply chain management, including procurement, logistics, and inventory control.
• Strong skills in planning, forecasting, and demand management, with the ability to optimize stock levels and lead times.
• Experience establishing and managing vendor relationships, including contract negotiation and performance evaluation.
• Ability to analyze data, use ERP or supply chain software, and generate actionable insights for decision-making.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team management, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Solid understanding of operational processes, cost optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field; a relevant master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is an advantage.
• Experience working in an on-site operational environment in Bangladesh or similar markets is beneficial.
