Role Description The Sourcing Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This role is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and managing suppliers for trims and related materials, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing sourcing requirements, obtaining and comparing quotations, negotiating contracts and pricing, and maintaining up-to-date supplier records. The Sourcing Specialist will collaborate with internal teams such as procurement, production, and logistics to align sourcing decisions with project timelines and client specifications. The role also includes monitoring market trends, assessing supplier performance, resolving supply issues, and preparing regular reports on sourcing activities and cost savings.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to compare suppliers, evaluate costs, assess risks, and support data-driven sourcing decisions.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to coordinate with suppliers, internal teams, and stakeholders, and to prepare clear reports and documentation.
• Candidates should possess Contract Negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing, terms, and service levels while maintaining long-term supplier relationships.
• Candidates should possess Recruiting and Procurement skills to identify potential suppliers, manage vendor onboarding, and oversee purchasing processes from requisition to delivery.
• Relevant experience in sourcing, supply chain, or procurement in the textile/garments or manufacturing industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic procurement processes, vendor management, and inventory considerations is beneficial.
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with ERP or purchasing systems is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field is preferred.
