Role summary

We are looking for a Software Engineer to take ownership of frontend architecture and the client-facing application layer. The role involves designing and building scalable, high-performance web applications using Vue.js, React/Next.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript, while driving technical decisions around microfrontend architecture, API integration, and frontend scalability.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with GraphQL and REST APIs, solid backend understanding with Node.js, and familiarity with PostgreSQL Docker, and Kubernetes. The role requires close collaboration with Product, Design, and Engineering teams, along with ownership of E2E testing, application performance, monitoring, and reliability.

This is an end-to-end ownership role for an engineer who can translate product requirements into robust technical solutions, make sound architectural decisions, and deliver reliable, maintainable, and scalable frontend systems.

Key Responsibilities

▸ Take ownership of the frontend architecture and client-facing distribution layer.

▸ Drive technical decisions related to frontend frameworks, microfrontend architecture, and scalability.

▸ Design, develop, test, and maintain complex, scalable web applications.

▸ Build interactive user interfaces using modern frameworks such as Vue.js with TypeScript. React (Next.js).

▸ Design and consume GraphQL APIs alongside REST-based services, ensuring efficient data querying and integration across frontend and backend systems.

▸ Implement and manage microfrontend architectures where applicable.

▸ Optimize applications for maximum performance, speed, and scalability.

▸ Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs seamlessly.

▸ Collaborate with backend engineers for API integration and system alignment.

▸ Work closely with Product, Design and other crews in the Tribe

▸ Cover new and existing functionality with solid E2E tests.

▸ Own monitoring and alerting to meet SLAs and SLOs.

Required Qualifications

▸ BSc in Computer Science and Engineering, or equivalent field.

▸ 6+ years of professional experience in building client API, UI, and UX projects.

▸ Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).

▸ Advanced JavaScript knowledge including ES6+ features, closures, scope, hoisting, prototypal inheritance, and promises & asynchronous programming.

▸ Strong expertise in Vue.js (Vue 3 preferred), TypeScript, React (Next.js), and microfrontend architecture.

▸ Experience with modern API frameworks such as FastAPI and Next.js.

▸ Solid understanding of GraphQL & RESTful APIs, authentication, and API design.

▸ Strong eye for UI/UX and ability to translate designs into clean, maintainable code.

▸ Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.

▸ Backend experience with Node.js (preferably NestJS).

▸ Database experience with PostgreSQL.

▸ Familiarity with DevOps tools including Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.

▸ Outcome-focused approach with ability to own features end-to-end.
