Role Description The Senior Student Counselor is a full-time, on-site role based in Uttara, responsible for providing advanced guidance to students on academic choices, study abroad options, and career pathways. This role involves conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, assessing student profiles, and recommending appropriate courses, institutions, and countries. The counselor will maintain detailed records, manage follow-ups, and coordinate with internal teams to support application, admission, and visa processes. Daily tasks include responding to inquiries, delivering presentations or information sessions, and ensuring high-quality customer service to students and their families. The Senior Student Counselor also mentors junior counselors and contributes to improving counseling methodologies and service standards.

Qualifications

• Strong student counseling and education advisory skills, with experience guiding learners through academic and study abroad decisions.
• Proficiency in career counseling, helping students align academic choices with long-term professional goals.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, including the ability to explain options clearly and manage expectations professionally.
• Ability to build rapport with diverse student populations, demonstrate empathy, and maintain confidentiality.
• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in any field, Education, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Prior experience in higher education consulting, student placement, or academic advising is highly beneficial.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail in documentation and follow-up.
• Comfort with using office productivity tools and basic CRM or student management systems.
