Senior Software Engineer — Backend (.NET Core)

US-Bangla Airlines is expanding its Software Division and looking for skilled developers to build our in-house ERP, Reservations and Flight Operations platforms.

About the Role

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will lead the design and development of core HRIS services on the .NET (C#) stack with Entity Framework Core. You will drive architecture, mentor engineers, and deliver secure, scalable APIs powering business-critical HR workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using ASP.NET Core (C#) and Entity Framework Core.
• Own architecture and technical design for HRIS modules (employee, payroll, attendance, leave, performance).
• Design robust data models and optimize database performance across relational (RDBMS) and NoSQL stores, using EF Core and LINQ.
• Enforce security, data privacy, and access control (RBAC, audit trails) across a multi-tenant platform.
• Lead code reviews, define coding standards, and drive CI/CD and observability practices.
• Build integrations with external services (payroll, biometric devices, SSO/identity providers).
• Mentor and technically guide mid and junior engineers.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience with C# / .NET.
• Strong expertise in ASP.NET Core and Entity Framework Core (migrations, LINQ, performance tuning).
• Deep experience with both relational (RDBMS, e.g. PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases — schema design, indexing, and query optimization.
• Strong understanding of REST API design, authentication/authorization (JWT, OAuth2), and security best practices.
• Experience with dependency injection, clean/layered architecture, and design patterns.
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, and unit testing (xUnit / NUnit).
• Experience with gRPC / Protocol Buffers for efficient service-to-service communication in a microservices architecture.
• Solid system design skills.
• Strong focus on performance optimization — profiling, query tuning, caching, and improving API latency and throughput.
• A clean-code practitioner who writes readable, well-structured, maintainable, and well-tested code and champions engineering standards.

Nice to Have

• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architecture.
• On-premise deployment capabilities; RDBMS and NoSQL experience.
• Exposure to HR/Payroll or other compliance-heavy domains.
• Cloud experience, Kubernetes, and event-driven architecture with message queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ) for async workflows.
• Wiling to adopt new tech stack as per project requirements.
