As our Denim category continues to grow, we are looking for a highly skilled, detail-obsessed Senior Quality Assurance Officer to safeguard and elevate the quality standard of our denim production, working directly against the exacting requirements of brands such as Inditex, New Yorker, Walmart etc.

Role Overview

The Senior Quality Assurance Officer — Denim Category will own quality assurance for NDS9's denim production end to end — from raw material and wash approvals through inline, pre-final, and final inspection — ensuring every shipment meets the exacting technical and cosmetic standards of our buyers.

This role demands hands-on, practical denim expertise: a deep working knowledge of fabric construction, garment wash and finishing processes, and the specific quality protocols of global retailers including Inditex, New Yorker, and Walmart.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned denim QA professional who can independently lead audits, resolve quality issues at the factory floor, and represent NDS9 confidently in front of buyer QA teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end quality assurance for denim orders — fabric inspection, wash & finish approval, inline production, pre-final (PFI), and final random inspection (FRI) — in line with buyer AQL standards.
• Apply strong, practical knowledge of denim-specific quality parameters: fabric shade/shrinkage, twisting, torque, wash consistency (stone/enzyme/laser/PP spray), crocking & rubbing fastness, seam strength, rivets, buttons, zippers, back patches, and trims.
• Ensure full compliance with the specific quality manuals, checklists, and approval protocols of Inditex, New Yorker, and Walmart, and stay current as these requirements evolve season to season.
• Conduct and supervise in-house lab testing (physical & chemical) or coordinate with accredited third-party labs, and ensure all test reports meet buyer-specified pass criteria before bulk approval.
• Lead root-cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) for quality issues identified in-line, at final inspection, or in customer/port inspection feedback.
• Review and approve lab-dips, wash standards, size sets, and pilot/golden sample runs prior to bulk production sign-off.
• Conduct factory audits (quality systems, process capability) and coach factory QC teams on buyer-specific requirements, workmanship standards, and defect classification (critical/major/minor).
• Monitor DHU (defects per hundred units) and other quality KPIs; drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defect rates and rejection at final inspection.
• Coordinate directly with buyer QA/QC representatives and third-party inspection agencies during onsite visits, audits, and pre-shipment inspections.
• Maintain accurate, buyer-ready quality documentation: inspection reports, test reports, CAPA logs, and approval records.
• Escalate quality risks proactively to Merchandising and Production teams to protect on-time, first-quality shipment.
