Role Description The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be a full-time, on-site role based in Mymensingh, Bangladesh, responsible for overseeing mechanical systems and equipment within the ceramics manufacturing facility. Day-to-day tasks include designing and improving machinery and mechanical components, preparing and reviewing CAD models and technical drawings, and ensuring proper installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical equipment. The role involves diagnosing mechanical issues, implementing corrective actions, and coordinating with production, maintenance, and quality teams to optimize performance and reduce downtime. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will lead and manage engineering projects, support R&D activities for process and equipment improvements, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and mentor junior engineers and technicians. The position requires regular monitoring of plant operations, documentation of engineering work, and collaboration with suppliers and external contractors when needed.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Mechanical Engineering knowledge, with experience applying mechanical principles in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Candidates should possess skills in Machine Design and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for developing, modifying, and validating mechanical components and production equipment.
• Candidates should possess Project Management abilities, including planning, scheduling, resource coordination, and risk management for engineering and maintenance projects.
• Candidates should possess Research and Development (R&D) capabilities to evaluate new technologies, improve processes, and support product and equipment innovation.
• Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline, and several years of experience in plant or factory engineering roles.
• Additional beneficial skills include knowledge of industrial safety standards, reliability and maintenance engineering, data analysis for performance improvement, and experience in ceramics, materials, or process industries.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor team members and work effectively with cross-functional groups, are important for this role.
• Ability to work on-site in Rajshahi, Bangladesh, with a hands-on approach to equipment and processes, and readiness to respond to operational priorities.
