Role Overview
This is a high-impact, strategic finance role—not a bookkeeping or accounting position. We are looking for an analytical Senior Finance Manager who lives in loan-level data, understands how a lending book behaves over time, and can turn those insights into strategic decisions around underwriting, pricing, capital deployment, and growth.
You will own the financial logic behind the portfolio, lead annual budgeting and FP&A processes, build default models, and serve as a key strategic partner to the CEO, operations, and credit teams while working alongside accounting/audit on controls.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio & Credit Analytics
- Build and maintain default curves, vintage/cohort analyses, roll rates, and loss forecasts across the loan book.
- Track delinquency, charge-offs, recoveries, and MOIC trends, identifying underlying drivers.
- Translate portfolio behavior into actionable recommendations on underwriting cutoffs, exposure limits, and collections strategies.
Strategic FP&A, Budgeting & Revenue Modeling
- Own the core financial model: revenue assumptions, unit economics, cost structure, capital deployment, and cash flow forecasting.
- Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, variance analysis, and scenario planning.
- Build feasibility models for new products, channels, partnerships, and market expansions.
Underwriting & Risk Policy Collaboration
- Partner with credit and operations teams to refine underwriting policies, scorecards, and origination caps.
- Run scenario and sensitivity analyses on policy updates before deployment.
- Monitor portfolio performance against policies and recommend adjustments as needed.
Capital Strategy & Stakeholder Reporting
- Prepare portfolio and financial reporting packages for lenders, investors, and the Board of Directors.
- Support fundraising and debt facility management through data rooms, covenant tracking, and financial projections.
- Size and structure capital requirements against the origination pipeline.
Leadership & Decision Support
- Serve as the analytical advisor to the CEO and leadership on pricing, unit economics, and capital allocation.
Requirements
- Experience: 5-10 years
- Education:
- Skills: corporate finance, financial modeling, financial advisory, financial analysis & reporting, financial modeling & simulation, retail finance, financial-analysis, financial acumen
