- Lead fabric, component, and sample development based on seasonal trends, buyer requirements, and market demand.
- Regularly visit buyer offices, buyer websites, and trend platforms to identify new fabrics, trims, components, finishes, and product development opportunities.
- Research seasonal trend direction and buyer development ranges and prepare innovative development proposals for collection meetings.
- Source suitable yarn, fabrics, trims, accessories, and other raw materials and coordinate with suppliers.
- Work closely with the Sales team in the Head Office & the Factory R&D, Fabric, Production, Merchandising, and Quality teams to execute developments in line with buyer requirements.
- Lead the complete development process from concept → development → sample → buyer submission → approval/sealed sample → production readiness.
- Coordinate with buyers and obtain development, quality, and sealed-sample approvals within the required timeline.
- Drive costing and negotiation while ensuring commercial competitiveness and product quality.
- Monitor T&A, OPD, and production milestones to ensure timely execution and shipment readiness.
- Identify production and quality risks at an early stage and implement preventive actions through PP meetings and cross-functional coordination.
- Maintain strong and professional buyer communication and promptly resolve technical, commercial, and development-related issues.
- Experience: 10-15 years
- Education: bachelor of science in textile engineering (te)
- Skills: fabric sourcing, technical knowledge of garment production, fabric development, textile industry knowledge, garment industry knowledge, fashion industry knowledge, garment production, apparel sourcing, garment manufacturing, textile design
