- Conduct and monitor physical, chemical, and performance testing of garments, fabrics, trims, and accessories according to buyer requirements and international standards.
- Review testing requests and ensure timely submission of samples to internal or third-party laboratories.
- Analyze laboratory test reports and provide technical recommendations to merchandising, quality, and production teams.
- Follow up on failed test reports and coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Ensure compliance with buyer testing protocols, ASTM, AATCC, ISO, EN, and other applicable international standards.
- Maintain testing records, reports, and laboratory databases accurately.
- Coordinate with nominated testing laboratories (e.g., SGS, Intertek, Bureau Veritas, TÜV, etc.) for testing schedules and report collection.
- Support product development by identifying potential testing risks before bulk production.
- Monitor test report validity and ensure all shipments meet buyer compliance requirements.
- Assist in root cause analysis for quality issues related to testing failures.
- Prepare testing status reports and communicate updates to management and relevant departments.
- Stay updated on buyer testing protocols, restricted substance requirements (RSL), and industry regulations.
- Experience: 4+ years
- Education:
- Skills: textile testing, fabric testing, textile inspection, technical knowledge of garment production, garment industry knowledge, laboratory testing, chemical testing, material testing, textile industry knowledge, garment manufacturing
