Senior Executive - Regulatory Affairs

The Senior Executive / Executive in Regulatory Affairs ensures end-to-end regulatory compliance, product licensing, and brand protection across all Consumer Brands categories (Personal Care, Home Care, Edible Salt, Hygiene, Electrical, and Pesticide Products). This role acts as a primary liaison between internal cross-functional teams and key statutory bodies (BSTI, DGDA, Plant Protection Wing) to drive product launches, ensure labeling/recipe compliance, and execute anti-counterfeiting operations.

1. Regulatory Submissions & Statutory Liaison

• Prepare, submit, and track applications for manufacturing licenses, product registrations, certifications, and No Objection Certificates (NOCs) with BSTI, DGDA, Plant Protection Wing (PPW), and other statutory authorities.
• Manage timely renewals of certifications, import permissions, block lists, recipe approvals, and price approvals.

2. Product Compliance & Brand Launch Support

• Review formulations, product recipes, packaging artworks, and marketing claims against Bangladesh Standards (BDS) and packaging rules.
• Coordinate with internal R&D, Quality Assurance, and Marketing teams to ensure zero-delay launch compliance for new products.

3. Anti-Counterfeiting & Brand Protection

• Conduct market surveillance to identify counterfeit, fake, and look-alike products across assigned product lines.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, legal teams, and local district administration to coordinate raids, seizures, and legal proceedings against counterfeiters.
• Maintain an anti-counterfeit incident tracking database and provide risk evaluation reports to senior management.

4. Intellectual Property & Legal Alignment

• Assist the Legal department in securing trademark and copyright registrations, protecting proprietary formulations, and safeguarding overall brand integrity.
• Monitor changes in national regulatory frameworks and advise cross-functional teams (Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing) on risk mitigation and crisis protocols.
  

• Regulatory Knowledge: BSTI, DGDA, Plant Protection Wing (PPW), Bangladesh Standards (BDS), and statutory import/export regulations.
• Compliance Management: Recipe registration, price approval, block list processing, packaging/artwork claim validation.
• Enforcement & IP Support: Anti-counterfeiting operations, market surveillance, administrative raids, trademark/copyright liaison.
• Technical Proficiency: Regulatory documentation, audit trail tracking, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Education: LL.B or B.Pharm from a recognized university
• Target Age Group: 25 - 32 Years
• Salary Range: 40k - 70k
