Please find below the key responsibilities of the Procurement Department:
- Source and evaluate reliable suppliers based on quality, price, delivery, and service.
- Obtain and compare quotations and ensure competitive pricing.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.
- Process Purchase Requisitions (PR), Purchase Orders (PO), and related procurement documents.
- Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, spare parts, machinery, consumables, and other required items.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and regularly monitor supplier performance.
- Coordinate with Production, Store, Accounts, Finance, Sales, and other departments to ensure smooth supply.
- Control procurement costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and savings.
- Ensure purchased materials meet approved specifications and required quality standards.
- Monitor delivery status and take immediate action on delayed or urgent orders.
- Maintain proper procurement records, supplier databases, quotations, comparative statements, and contracts.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, approval procedures, and ethical standards.
- Review market prices and conduct regular market analysis to support management decisions.
- Identify supply risks and develop alternative supplier sources where necessary.
- Prepare regular procurement reports, savings reports, supplier performance reports, and pending-order statements.
- Support continuous improvement, automation, and transparent procurement practices.
- To ensure the Right Quality, Right Quantity, Right Price, Right Supplier, and Right Time while achieving maximum cost efficiency and business value.
- Experience: 2-5 years
- Education:
- Skills: procurement processes, procurement, procurement software, it procurement, procurement strategy, project purchasing, procurement strategies, government procurement, purchasing processes
