Role Description The Senior Education Counselor is a full-time, on-site role based in Dhaka. The counselor will guide prospective learners through the entire study abroad journey, including initial consultation, program and country selection, eligibility assessment, and application planning. Daily responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, explaining academic options and admission requirements, assisting with documentation, and coordinating with universities and partners. The role also involves tracking application progress, advising on scholarships and funding opportunities, and supporting learners through visa preparation and pre-departure orientation. The counselor will work closely with internal teams to maintain accurate records, meet enrollment targets, and uphold UKWAY’s standards of service and compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong counseling and advisory skills, with the ability to understand learner goals and recommend suitable study abroad options.
• Experience in international education, admissions, or study abroad consulting, preferably with UK or other major destination countries.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including clear verbal and written English and the ability to present complex information simply.
• Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple cases, deadlines, and documentation requirements accurately.
• Proficiency with common office software, CRM or student management systems, and online communication tools.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Counseling, Business, International Relations, or a related field.
• Demonstrated integrity, cultural sensitivity, and commitment to non-discriminatory, learner-centered guidance.
• Prior experience in a senior or supervisory counseling role is an advantage, including mentoring junior staff and contributing to process improvement.
