Role Description The Senior Counsellor is a full-time, on-site role based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, responsible for providing advanced counselling support and guidance to clients. Day-to-day tasks include conducting individual and group counselling sessions, assessing client needs, developing tailored intervention plans, and maintaining accurate, confidential records. The Senior Counsellor will mentor junior counsellors, contribute to program design and improvement, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support for clients. The role also involves organizing workshops or awareness sessions, preparing reports, and participating in regular team meetings to review cases and share best practices.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in counselling, including assessment, intervention planning, and case management.
• Strong communication and active listening skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse clients.
• Proven ability to supervise, mentor, or guide junior staff or peers in a counselling or support setting.
• Solid organizational and documentation skills, including maintaining accurate records and preparing concise reports.
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or a related field.
• Relevant professional certifications or training in counselling techniques, mental health, or crisis intervention are preferred.
• Prior experience in a senior or lead counselling role, ideally within an educational, clinical, or community-based environment.
• Ability to work on-site in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
