Senior Backend Developer (Django)

Role Overview

We are hiring a strong Backend Developer to work on a high-load, feature-heavy platform with real users, real-time operations, complex business logic, and multiple third-party system integrations. We need someone who can work responsibly on production systems, write reliable backend logic, debug complex issues, and contribute to system stability and scalability.

Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience with Python, Django, and Django REST Framework

Solid experience with PostgreSQL

Strong understanding of REST API design for web and mobile applications

Experience handling complex backend workflows, state changes, and transactional logic

Ability to work with high-volume data and performance-sensitive APIs

Experience with authentication, authorization, permissions, and secure API development

Good understanding of Redis, caching, queues, background jobs, and scheduled tasks

Experience with Linux server environments, deployment, logs, process management, and service troubleshooting

Experience debugging production issues using logs, error reports, server metrics, API behavior, and database analysis

Ability to work with third-party APIs and external service integrations

Strong Git workflow and team collaboration experience

Good to Have

Experience with ride-sharing, logistics, delivery, fintech, marketplace, booking, or real-time service platforms

Experience with payment systems, wallet logic, maps, notifications, live tracking, or operational dashboards

Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, DigitalOcean, or similar

Familiarity with monitoring, alerting, backup, uptime, deployment rollback, and incident handling

Experience improving legacy codebases while delivering new features

Key Responsibilities

Build, maintain, and optimize backend APIs and services

Implement complex business logic with proper validation and data consistency

Work on scalable backend systems used by web and mobile applications

Integrate and maintain third-party services

Manage backend deployment support and production release activities

Monitor server-side issues, logs, errors, and performance problems

Troubleshoot API, database, server, deployment, and configuration issues

Optimize database queries, indexes, and backend performance

Support major feature upgrades and release cycles

Collaborate with product, mobile, frontend, and QA teams

Improve backend reliability, maintainability, security, and code quality
