Position Details
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Work Location: Dhaka-based office
- Working Days: Monday – Friday
- Working Hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Lead the design, development, testing, and maintenance of Android POS terminal and mobile applications.
- Design and implement scalable Android applications and mobile architectures.
- Build and integrate payment features involving:
- EMV
- Contactless
- QR Payments
- e-Wallet
- Payment Gateway
- TMS (Terminal Management System)
- RKI (Remote Key Injection)
- Review application architecture, coding standards, and development practices.
- Mentor junior Android developers and provide technical guidance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across development, testing, and production environments.
- Ensure applications meet required payment certification, security, compliance, and quality standards.
- Work closely with Business, QA, and Project Management teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Support UAT, certification, deployment, and production rollout activities.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and system-related documentation.
- Take ownership of technical incidents and provide timely resolutions.
- Collaborate with international stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- 4–5 years of total software development experience, including at least 3+ years of Android application development.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Java and a solid understanding of Android SDK, application lifecycle, and mobile architecture.
- Experience working with REST APIs, system integration, and SQL databases.
- Previous experience in the payment industry is strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with one or more of:
- EMV
- QR Payment
- Contactless Payment
- e-Wallet
- Payment Gateway
- TMS
- RKI
- Familiarity with ISO 8583 messaging or terminal applications such as PAX, NEXGO, Verifone, or Ingenico will be a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of C/C++, Linux/embedded systems, cryptography, or key management is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to take ownership of complex technical challenges.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Confident spoken and written English, as the role involves working directly with international stakeholders.
