Role Description The Senior Accounting Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This role oversees the day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, payroll coordination, and fixed asset management. The individual will prepare and review financial statements, manage monthly and year-end closing activities, and ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies. The Senior Accounting Manager will lead and mentor the accounting team, implement process improvements, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and collaborate with leadership on financial analysis and reporting. The position involves close coordination with internal departments, external auditors, tax authorities, and banking partners to maintain accurate and timely financial information.
Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in core accounting functions, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and reconciliation.
• Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Strong knowledge of local tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit processes relevant to Bangladesh.
• Experience managing accounting systems and ERP software, with the ability to improve workflows and controls.
• Proven leadership skills, including team management, coaching, and performance development in an accounting environment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to accuracy and deadlines.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities for working with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, ACCA) are an advantage.
• Several years of progressive accounting experience, including prior responsibility for managing a finance or accounting team.
• Fluency in English and Bangla, and familiarity with the electronics or manufacturing sector is beneficial.
