About the Role
We are looking for a commercially driven Sales & Partnership Specialist who will be responsible for turning Ekkademy’s products and capabilities into learners, batches, institutional clients and strategic partnerships.
This is not a general marketing role.
If you enjoy finding opportunities, approaching people, closing deals, filling batches, building institutional relationships and seeing measurable numbers grow every month- this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
1. Student & Batch Growth
- Drive direct sales and learner acquisition for Ekkademy’s courses and learning programs.
- Develop and execute monthly plans to generate new enrollments.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of individual learners and prospects.
- Convert leads into paid learners and ensure regular batch formation.
- Identify new learner segments, communities and channels for acquisition.
- Conduct offline activation, campus visits, education fairs, seminars, workshops and other learner acquisition activities where relevant.
- Proactively identify opportunities rather than waiting for leads to come in.
- Work closely with the academic/product team to understand upcoming courses and ensure sufficient enrollment pipeline.
2. Institutional Sales
- Identify schools, colleges, universities, coaching centres, training institutions and other education organizations that can benefit from Ekkademy.
- Build relationships with institutional decision-makers.
- Conduct meetings, presentations and product demonstrations.
- Develop institutional proposals and commercial opportunities.
- Negotiate and close institutional deals.
- Convert institutional relationships into recurring business and learner volumes.
3. Partnership Development
- Identify and develop partnerships with organizations that can help expand Ekkademy’s learner base or distribution.
- Build relationships with educational institutions, corporates, youth organizations, professional communities, associations, content/learning partners and other relevant ecosystems.
- Develop referral, distribution, co-marketing and strategic partnership opportunities.
- Own partnership discussions from prospecting to negotiation and closure.
- Ensure partnerships result in measurable business outcomes, not just MoUs or meetings.
4. Online & Offline Sales
You will be expected to be equally comfortable selling from a laptop and from the field.
Online:
- Lead generation and prospecting through digital channels
- Social media and community-based prospecting
- WhatsApp / Messenger / phone-based sales
- Email and LinkedIn outreach
- Online meetings and product presentations
- Follow-up and conversion of digital leads
Offline:
- Institutional visits
- Corporate meetings
- Campus and community engagement
- Education events and activations
- Seminars, workshops and career events
- Face-to-face sales and partnership meetings
5. Pipeline & Conversion Management
- Maintain a clear and updated sales pipeline.
- Track prospects from first contact to conversion.
- Follow up consistently and professionally.
- Identify bottlenecks in the sales funnel and take corrective action.
- Maintain accurate CRM / sales records.
- Forecast monthly sales and enrollment numbers.
- Ensure no meaningful opportunity is lost due to poor follow-up.
6. Monthly Growth Ownership
You will be expected to work against clear monthly numbers.
Key measurements may include:
- New learners acquired
- New batches launched
- Batch fill rate
- Monthly enrollment growth
- Revenue generated through sales
- Number of institutional clients acquired
- Number of active partnerships
- Partnership-generated learners
- Qualified leads generated
- Lead-to-enrollment conversion
- Sales pipeline value
- Repeat / recurring institutional business
The expectation is not simply to report activity. The expectation is to deliver growth.
Required Qualifications
- 3-4 years of proven experience in direct sales, business development, partnership development or a closely related commercial role.
- Demonstrated experience in B2C and/or B2B sales.
- Proven track record of achieving sales, enrollment or business growth targets.
- Experience in the EdTech, education, training, professional learning or related industry is strongly preferred.
- Experience building institutional and strategic partnerships.
- Experience managing the complete sales cycle, prospecting, pitching, negotiating, closing and follow-up.
