Sales Executive—Freight Forwarding

Role Description The Sales Executive—Freight Forwarding is a full-time, on-site role based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The person in this role will identify and pursue new business opportunities in freight forwarding, maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, and prepare proposals and quotations tailored to customer requirements. Daily activities include coordinating with operations and documentation teams to ensure smooth service delivery, tracking shipments, and responding to customer inquiries. The Sales Executive will conduct market research, support pricing strategies, and participate in negotiations to close deals. The role also involves maintaining accurate sales records, preparing regular reports, and representing Saybolt Group in client meetings and industry events.
Qualifications

• Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to identify prospects and convert leads into long-term clients.
• Knowledge of international freight forwarding, logistics operations, and shipping documentation, preferably within the Bangladesh and regional markets.
• Solid communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in written and spoken English and Bangla.
• Capability to use CRM tools and basic office software (e.g., MS Office) for reporting, client management, and data analysis.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple accounts, and meet or exceed sales targets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field; relevant professional certifications in logistics or supply chain are an advantage.
• Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or shipping sales is highly desirable.
• High level of integrity, customer-focused mindset, and willingness to work on-site and visit clients as needed.
