To manage quantity surveying, measurement, cost control, contract administration, and commercial activities for major infrastructure projects, ensuring accurate cost management, timely payments, effective variation and claims management, and compliance with contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review BOQ, quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and pricing documents.
- Conduct detailed measurement of completed and ongoing works based on approved drawings, specifications, and site records.
- Prepare interim payment applications, payment certificates, and supporting documentation.
- Monitor project quantities, costs, budgets, and expenditure against approved targets.
- Verify subcontractor and supplier bills, measurements, and payment claims.
- Identify and evaluate variations, additional works, omissions, and changes in scope.
- Prepare and evaluate variation orders, rate analysis, and cost impact assessments.
- Assist in the preparation, review, and substantiation of contractual claims.
- Maintain accurate records of quantities, measurements, payments, variations, and commercial correspondence.
- Coordinate with Project Management, Construction, Planning, Engineering, QA/QC, and Accounts teams.
- Liaise with the Client, Consultant, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders on commercial and measurement matters.
- Review contract documents, specifications, drawings, BOQ, and relevant contractual provisions.
- Assist in monitoring cash flow, project cost forecasts, and final account preparation.
- Support the preparation and negotiation of final accounts and commercial settlements.
- Ensure compliance with contract conditions, project procedures, and applicable standards.
- Prepare regular commercial, cost, and quantity reports for management.
- Experience: 5 to 8 years
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
