JOB SUMMARY: The Project Officer (Dermatologist) is responsible for delivering specialized dermatological services within primary healthcare and outreach settings in humanitarian contexts. The role focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of skin diseases, particularly those prevalent in refugee camp environments. In addition, the Dermatologist supports capacity building of healthcare staff, contributes to health promotion activities, and ensures integration of dermatological care within the broader primary healthcare service package.

General Responsibilities
- Objective 1: Provide specialized dermatological care and treatment.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of skin conditions, including infections, allergies, and chronic dermatological diseases.
- Manage common camp-related skin diseases (fungal infections, scabies, dermatitis, etc.).
- Prescribe appropriate medications according to clinical guidelines.
- Handle dermatological emergencies and complications when required.
- Objective 2: Strengthen quality of care within primary healthcare services.
- Support integration of dermatology services into primary healthcare clinics.
- Develop and follow standard treatment protocols and guidelines.
- Ensure patient-centered care with proper consultation and follow-up.
- Refer complicated cases to higher-level facilities when necessary.
- Objective 3: Support capacity building of healthcare staff.
- Provide on-the-job training to doctors, nurses, and paramedics on common skin conditions.
- Develop simple guidance materials for frontline health workers.
- Support clinical supervision and mentoring.
- Promote early detection and appropriate management of dermatological cases.
- Objective 4: Promote community awareness on skin health.
- Conduct health education sessions on skin hygiene and disease prevention.
- Raise awareness about communicable skin diseases and personal hygiene.
- Support outreach campaigns and mobile clinic activities.
- Encourage early health-seeking behavior among the community.
- Objective 5: Ensure infection prevention and clinical safety standards.
- Follow IPC protocols in all clinical practices.
- Ensure safe handling of patients with infectious skin conditions.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of consultation areas.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately.
- Objective 6: Maintain proper documentation and reporting.
- Experience: At least 1 year
