Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Procurement Specialist supporting government procurement activities. The role involves preparing and managing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and regulations. The Procurement Specialist will evaluate suppliers, collect and analyze quotations, and assist in contract negotiation to secure favorable terms and reliable delivery. Daily responsibilities include maintaining procurement records, tracking orders, monitoring supplier performance, and preparing reports for internal stakeholders. The role also requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to forecast needs, optimize procurement processes, and support transparency and accountability in public spending.

• Candidates should possess strong procurement skills, including experience with public or institutional procurement processes.
• Candidates should possess skills in managing purchase orders and related documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
• Candidates should possess supplier evaluation skills to assess vendor reliability, quality, and compliance.
• Candidates should possess contract negotiation and analytical skills to secure value for money and interpret data-driven insights.
• Relevant academic background in business, supply chain management, public administration, economics, or a related field.
• Knowledge of public sector procurement laws, regulations, and international best practices is highly beneficial.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote setting.
• Proficiency in standard office software and procurement or ERP systems; experience with e-procurement platforms is an advantage.
