Role Description The Owner role at Ulterior Engineering Ltd. is a full-time, on-site position based in Dhaka. The Owner is responsible for overall strategic direction, business development, and operational oversight across all service areas, including training, research, internships, and engineering projects. Daily tasks include setting organizational goals, managing key partnerships with industry, academia, and government, and overseeing the planning and delivery of technical services and programs. The role involves guiding and mentoring engineering teams and leaders, reviewing project proposals and budgets, and ensuring high standards in technical training, client solutions, and research initiatives. The Owner also leads expansion efforts, evaluates new service opportunities, and maintains a culture of innovation, integrity, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications

• Strong leadership, strategic planning, and organizational management skills, with the ability to guide multidisciplinary engineering and business teams.
• Extensive experience in engineering disciplines such as industrial automation, power systems, renewable energy, robotics, control systems, and building automation.
• Proficiency in technology-oriented business development, including project planning, client relationship management, and partnership building with institutions and enterprises.
• Background in technical training, curriculum design, and mentorship, supporting skill development, internships, and career growth for engineers and students.
• Familiarity with software, web, and mobile app development, programming languages, and modern digital tools used in engineering and research environments.
• Knowledge of engineering safety and security standards, as well as experience managing research projects, laboratory operations, and innovation initiatives.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to represent the organization professionally in diverse forums.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field; prior experience in founding, owning, or leading a technology or engineering-focused organization is highly beneficial.
