This role involves vendor management, market analysis, contract negotiations, and ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of commodities such as raw materials, agricultural products, or industrial inputs.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement Planning & Strategy: Assist in developing and implementing commodity procurement strategies aligned with company goals. Monitor commodity market trends, price fluctuations, and availability to optimize purchasing decisions.
- Vendor & Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers of commodities. Negotiate terms, prices, delivery, and quality standards with vendors. Conduct supplier audits and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
- Procurement Operations: Process purchase orders and coordinate with internal teams to determine commodity needs. Ensure the timely delivery of materials while maintaining cost efficiency and regulatory requirements.
- Cost & Risk Management: Analyze procurement costs and identify opportunities for cost savings. Work with finance and legal teams to manage risks related to contracts and market volatility.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain procurement documentation, including contracts, PO records, supplier records, evaluations, etc. Generate reports on commodity prices, procurement KPIs, and supplier performance.
- Experience: 1 year
- Education: bachelor of supply chain management
