- Take overall responsibility for editorial decisions and news quality.
- Review and approve important news content before publication.
- Decide news priority, coverage, and editorial direction.
- Supervise the overall newsroom workflow and coordinate with the newsroom editor.
- Review breaking news and sensitive news before publication whenever required.
- Ensure proper fact-checking, source verification, accuracy, and balance of news.
- Edit important news reports and improve headlines, subheadings, and overall presentation.
- Monitor national, international, political, economic, educational, technological, sports, entertainment, and other major developments.
- Ensure compliance with editorial policy, journalism ethics, and copyright rules.
- Guide the Newsroom Editor in handling important stories and newsroom priorities.
- Coordinate with the CMS operator to ensure important news is properly presented on the website.
- Review published content and ensure necessary corrections or updates are made.
- Maintain the overall credibility, professionalism, and editorial standards of Toththo Barta.
- Experience: 3-4 years
- Education: bachelor of journalism & media studies (jms)
- Skills: journalism, online journalism, news writing, editorial photography, business journalism, journalists, newspaper design, magazine management, editorial
