Mobile Journalist (MoJo)

We are looking for a creative, energetic, and responsible Mobile Journalist (MoJo) to gather, produce, and deliver fast, accurate, and engaging digital news content from the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Cover breaking news, events, press conferences, interviews, and field assignments.
• Gather news, information, photos, and video using smartphones and mobile equipment.
• Conduct on-camera interviews and produce video reports, short-form content, and news packages.
• Shoot quality video and photography suitable for digital publication.
• Write accurate captions, headlines, basic scripts, and news reports.
• Verify information, footage, names, and key facts before publication.
• Create content for Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and the news portal.
• Produce Reels, Shorts, and other social-media-friendly news content.
• Coordinate with reporters, editors, video editors, and digital media teams.
• Respond quickly to breaking-news assignments and meet tight deadlines.
• Follow journalistic ethics, editorial standards, and professional conduct.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or a related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in journalism, field reporting, multimedia journalism, or MoJo preferred.
• Strong knowledge of current affairs, national issues, and local news.
• Excellent Bangla communication and writing skills; English is an advantage.
• Strong interviewing, communication, and news-gathering skills.
• Good knowledge of smartphone photography and videography.
• Basic knowledge of CapCut, VN, KineMaster, Adobe Premiere Rush, or similar editing tools.
• Ability to work independently, under pressure, and within urgent deadlines.
• Willingness to travel for field assignments and work flexible hours when required.
