📍 Critical – Work Location

The Role

We are looking for an Mid-level (Intermediate) Laravel Developer to design REST APIs, optimize database queries, and manage background jobs. You will own feature delivery from planning to deployment. This is a growth role – you will receive regular mentorship to help you progress toward a Senior Engineer level.

What You Will Do

• Build and maintain RESTful APIs with resource controllers and JSON responses.
• Design efficient database schemas using migrations, foreign keys, and indexes.
• Write optimized Eloquent queries (relationships, scopes, eager loading).
• Implement queue workers for background jobs (dispatch, retry, failed handling).
• Set up authentication using Laravel Sanctum or Passport.
• Write feature tests and HTTP assertions to ensure reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and team stand-ups.

Core Must-Haves (Non-Negotiable)

• 2+ years of professional Laravel experience in production.
• Strong Eloquent skills (relationships, scopes, query optimization).
• Proven experience building REST APIs (routes, controllers, status codes).
• Solid database design knowledge (migrations, foreign keys, indexes).
• Experience with authentication (Laravel Sanctum or Passport)

Secondary Skills (We Will Teach You)

• Queues (Redis, Horizon, failed job handling).
• Caching strategies (Cache facade, Redis).
• Testing (PHPUnit, HTTP assertions).
• Git, CI/CD basics, clean code practices

Nice to Have (Bonus Points)

• Experience with Inertia.js + Vue.js.
• Basic front-end skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
