Job Context

The Merchandiser holds the accountability for working closely with team from product development and sampling stage till shipment ensuring seamless execution of daily tasks and timely dispatch in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Job Responsibilities

• Independently execute Knit and Woven product development, understand latest fashion trends, source new yarns, and develop customer specific collections.
• Ensure smooth communication with customers and suppliers on day-to-day merchandising activities and approvals.
• Continuously update the woven and knit fabrics, trims, print embroideries, washes and stitch library including technical data and price ideas for easy reference.
• Understand customer requirements and work closely with the design team to manage the correct samples within time and quality.
• Set priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress towards goals, and track details, data, information, and activities.
• Ensure production and samples follow up with factories and related procedures.
• Communicate with buyers on day-to-day merchandising activities and approvals.
• Prepare the QA files for on time handover for both buyers and ZXY QA.
• Source trims, accessories, and fabrics (both overseas and local).
  
  

Requirements

• Experience: 5 years
• Education: diploma in apparel merchandising
• Skills: garment industry knowledge, textile industry knowledge, fabric sourcing, apparel sourcing, garment manufacturing, knit garment manufacturing, knit garment production, merchandise planning, technical knowledge of garment production, fashion merchandising
