Role Description The Medical Assistant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Dhaka at 250 Bed General Hospital Sherpur. The Medical Assistant supports healthcare professionals by preparing patients for examinations, recording vital signs, and assisting with basic clinical procedures. Daily responsibilities include managing patient flow, updating and maintaining medical records, handling appointment scheduling, and supporting front-desk and medical office operations as needed. The role also involves explaining procedures in clear language, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and adhering to hospital policies and infection control standards. The Medical Assistant works closely with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure efficient and compassionate patient care.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Medical Assisting skills, including support with examinations and basic clinical procedures.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of Medical Terminology to communicate effectively with clinical staff and understand documentation.
• Candidates should possess Medical Office skills, such as appointment scheduling, front-desk support, and coordination of patient flow.
• Candidates should possess Patient Care skills, including monitoring vital signs, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring patient comfort.
• Candidates should possess Medical Records skills, including accurate documentation, record updating, and maintaining confidentiality.
• Completion of a recognized Medical Assistant or related healthcare training program is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work respectfully with patients and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to follow clinical protocols, maintain hygiene standards, and support infection prevention measures.
• Basic computer literacy for electronic record-keeping and hospital information systems.
• Prior experience in a hospital or clinic setting is an advantage but not always required.
