Duties And Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for mechanical maintenance, operation, and reliability of all machinery and equipment in the factory.
- Plan, supervise, and execute installation, erection, commissioning, alignment, and modification of all new and existing mechanical equipment and production lines.
- Complete understanding and hands-on experience in operation, maintenance, and management of all mechanical utilities, including air compressor systems, compressed air distribution, cooling water systems, chillers, boilers/thermic fluid heaters, and hydraulic & pneumatic systems.
- Lead, manage, and develop the entire mechanical maintenance team, ensuring smooth workflow, proper delegation, and team efficiency.
- Responsible for spare parts planning, inventory management, ensuring availability of critical spares and minimizing downtime.
- Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance to ensure reduction of downtime, optimum machine performance, and maximum productivity.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to identify root causes of mechanical failures and implement effective corrective and preventive measures.
- Coordinate with Production, Electrical, and Utility departments to ensure seamless plant operation.
- Prepare and maintain maintenance schedules, SOPs, checklists, reports, and records.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory regulations, and company policies related to mechanical systems.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, machine upgrades, and capacity enhancement projects.
- Experience: 3+ years
- Education: mechanical engineering
- Skills: mechanical maintenance, maintenance engineering, facilities maintenance, manufacturing engineering, equipment maintenance, mechanical skills, plant maintenance, knowledge of maintenance procedures
