SNOWTEX Outerwear Ltd. is seeking "Mechanical Engineer" to join our Mechanical Department. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about industrial utilities, maintenance, safety and engineering excellence.

About the Role

The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and compliance of mechanical utilities and systems.

Responsibilities

• Operation and maintenance of Boiler systems
• Operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of Air Compressor systems
• Maintenance and monitoring of WTP, ETP & STP
• Maintenance and inspection of HVAC systems
• Monitoring and maintenance of Active Fire Protection Systems
• Inspection and maintenance of Fire Detection & Alarm Systems
• Preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical equipment
• Troubleshooting of mechanical utility and production-support equipment
• Preparation and maintenance of equipment/service records
• Coordination with internal departments and external service providers
• Ensuring equipment reliability, operational efficiency and workplace safety
• Supporting engineering projects, installation, commissioning and modification works
• Ensuring compliance with applicable BNBC, RSC and relevant safety requirements

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed university.
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering candidates may be considered for appropriate positions.
• Candidates with relevant industrial experience will receive preference.

Required Skills

• Knowledge or practical exposure in the following areas will be preferred:
• Boiler | Compressor | WTP | ETP | STP | HVAC | Fire Protection System | Fire Detection System | CAD | CAM | Mechanical Maintenance | Utility Management

Preferred Skills

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Good knowledge of industrial mechanical systems
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong sense of responsibility and ownership
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Good knowledge of MS Office and engineering documentation
• Knowledge of AutoCAD / CAD-CAM will be an advantage
• Experience in a Garments Washing Plant will be an added advantage
