Role Description The Marine Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Chattogram. This position is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and repair of marine engines, machinery, and associated systems on board vessels or within shipyard facilities. Day-to-day tasks include conducting inspections, diagnosing mechanical and technical issues, planning preventive maintenance, and ensuring all work complies with safety and regulatory requirements. The Marine Engineer collaborates with onboard crew and technical teams to optimize vessel performance, maintain documentation, and support dry-docking and refit projects as needed. The role may also involve reviewing technical specifications, coordinating with suppliers and contractors, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in ship management practices.
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Marine Engineering, with practical experience in marine systems, engines, and auxiliary equipment.
• Knowledge and experience within the Marine Industry and Maritime operations, including familiarity with international standards and regulations.
• Background or exposure to Navy or commercial seafaring environments, with understanding of shipboard practices and discipline.
• Proficiency in Maintenance & Repair of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on vessels or marine structures.
• Relevant degree or diploma in Marine Engineering or a closely related field; professional certifications and licenses are an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and regulatory documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and capability to work in demanding on-site conditions.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with multinational crews and technical staff.
