Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute short-term, medium-term, and long-term production plans for Textile operations.
- Develop production schedules based on confirmed orders, delivery requirements, machine capacity, material availability, and production lead time.
- Plan and coordinate production activities across Knitting, Dyeing, Finishing, Yarn Dyeing, and other relevant textile processes.
- Analyze machine-wise and process-wise capacity and prepare optimum production loading plans.
- Ensure effective utilization of available machine capacity and minimize idle time.
- Coordinate with Merchandising and RMG Planning teams regarding order requirements, fabric requirements, delivery dates, and priority orders.
- Coordinate with Yarn, Knitting, Dyeing, Finishing, QAD, R&D, and other relevant departments to ensure uninterrupted production flow.
- Monitor availability of yarn, chemicals, dyes, accessories, and other required materials before releasing production plans.
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and order-wise production plans and communicate them to relevant departments.
- Monitor actual production against planned production and identify deviations, delays, bottlenecks, and capacity constraints.
- Take immediate corrective actions and revise production schedules whenever there are changes in order priority, machine availability, raw material availability, or production performance.
- Monitor WIP throughout the textile production process and ensure proper flow of materials between processes.
- Coordinate machine allocation according to fabric type, construction, GSM, color, lot, process requirements, and delivery priorities.
- Coordinate with Industrial Engineering/Technical teams to assess capacity, productivity, and process lead time where applicable.
- Monitor production lead time and identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary waiting, processing, and changeover time.
- Prepare recovery plans for delayed or at-risk orders and closely monitor their execution.
- Ensure proper synchronization between knitting, dyeing, finishing, and downstream RMG requirements.
- Maintain accurate production planning data in ERP/MIS/planning systems.
- Prepare and circulate production status reports, capacity reports, WIP reports, delay reports, and management MIS.
- Analyze production planning data to identify capacity gaps, process bottlenecks, recurring delays, and opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in daily and weekly production review meetings and present planning status to management.
- Follow up on production commitments and ensure timely escalation of potential delivery risks.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance to ensure production planning considers quality hold, rework, rejection, and inspection requirements.
- Experience: At least 10 years
- Education: bachelor of science in textile engineering (te)
