Role Overview
This role is responsible for analyzing, identifying, automating, and optimizing end-to-end Transport Network performance and KPIs, ensuring an efficient Transport Network in terms of cost and resource utilization.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and identify E2E Transport Network optimization and efficiency improvement opportunities in access, aggregation and backbone transport.
- Prepare business case for Transport optimization and efficiency improvement initiatives
- Prepare and drive projects for Transport optimization and efficiency improvement initiatives
- Analyze and automate Transport network processes, routings, planning tools.
- Coordinate with operations to ensure site/GE shifting for fiber connected sites, LAG activities.
- Identify (TWAMP) and Resolve Transmission Link performance issue in coordination with multiple stockholders.
- Provide DCN Plan for the Transmission NEs to ensure the DCN availability up to Network Standard.
- Optimize and Troubleshooting the In-band DCN Plan to ensure fast availability / visibility of NEs in NMS of different vendor.
- Maintain and ensure the BCM Remedy tool incident TT handling with the help of multiple stakeholders.
- Provide the Incident TT Transport issue Resolution plan colleting and updating in the Remedy Tool.
- Provide the QoS plan for the Transport Link/ NE with the mapping of the core Network service.
- Identify key areas to improve transport network KPI (delay, jitter, packet loss) and drive to ensure efficiency
- Basic Knowledge of mobile telecommunications (2G/4G/5G).
- Excellent knowledge of telecommunication transport networks including Microwave transport, Satellite Transport, Optical, Synchronization and IP/MPLS.
- Project Management skills.
- Ability to address complex issues and take critical decisions.
- Strong Data Analytics Skill
- Basic AI and Automation Skill .

Robi was the first operator to introduce GPRS and 3.5G services in the country. It is the first company to launch 4.5G service in all the 64 districts of the country. In fact, this landmark milestone was achieved on the first day of the commercial launch of the service by Robi on 20 February 2018. By the end of 2018, Robi created the largest 4.5G network of the country with nearly 7,400 sites covering 99 per cent of the thanas of the country.
Robi also proudly claims to have the widest international roaming coverage with 398 operators across 182 countries with widest 4G roaming footprint in 29 countries with 40 operators.
The company has introduced many first of its kind digital services in the country and has been the pioneer for paving the way in taking mobile financial services to the under-served communities in the rural and semi-urban areas. It is the only mobile operator to have successfully conducted the trial run of 5G and Voice over LTE technology on its 4.5G network.
