Production Planning & Execution
- Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly DTY production according to the production plan and customer requirements.
- Ensure achievement of production targets in terms of quantity, quality, efficiency, and machine utilization.
- Monitor production performance by machine, shift, product type, denier, and lot.
- Minimize production loss, machine downtime, waste, rework, and off-quality production.
- Coordinate with Planning, Sales, Quality, Maintenance, and Stores to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Supervise DTY processes including texturizing, winding, draw ratio, heater temperature, yarn speed, overfeed, tension, intermingling, and other critical process parameters.
- Ensure proper machine setting and process optimization for different yarn specifications.
- Troubleshoot production and process-related problems and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain process standards and ensure consistency of yarn quality across shifts.
- Ensure DTY production meets approved quality specifications and customer requirements.
- Work closely with QA/QC to control defects such as broken filaments, uneven dye uptake, high/low crimp, variation in denier, tension problems, oil contamination, and package defects.
- Analyze quality trends and implement preventive actions to reduce customer complaints and internal rejection.
- Manage production manpower and ensure optimum utilization of operators, technicians, and supervisors.
- Prepare and monitor shift-wise manpower deployment.
- Develop supervisors and operators through technical training and on-the-job coaching.
- Ensure proper shift handover and effective communication between production teams.
- Monitor attendance, overtime, productivity, discipline, and workforce performance.
- Monitor machine efficiency, utilization, downtime, breakdowns, and production losses.
- Coordinate with Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance teams for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Identify recurring machine problems and recommend permanent corrective actions.
- Support installation, commissioning, trial production, and process optimization of new DTY machines.
- Control raw material consumption, energy consumption, manpower cost, waste, and production overheads.
- Monitor production KPIs and identify opportunities for productivity improvement.
- Experience: 10-15 years
- Education: bachelor of science in textile engineering (te)
- Skills: technical knowledge of garment production, production management, production engineering, garment production, dyeing machinery, textile industry knowledge, production processes, textile engineering, laundry operations, production coordination
